Chris Brown has another number one hit under his belt. The purveyor of R&B/pop’s Drake-assisted single “No Guidance” has reached the top spot on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.
This is Brown’s eighth time topping this chart. His last single as a lead artist to peak at number one was 2014’s “New Flame” featuring Usher and Rick Ross. As a featured artist, he sat in the front seat last with Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj for “All Eyez on Me” in 2015. Brown came close to the top spot the same year for “Post to Be” with Omarion and Jhené Aiko.
“No Guidance” has seen massive success on urban and rhythmic radio, ruling both airplay formats simultaneously.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Brown’s third number-one album Indigo was certified gold.
Brown also kicked off his extensive INDIGOAT Tour this week with special guests Ty Dolla $ign, Tory Lanez, Joyner Lucas, and Yella Beezy. If you haven’t gotten tickets, see the full itinerary here.
