Don’t call it a comeback. Chris Brown’s latest album, Indigo, has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 108,000 equivalent album units sold. Of that total, 28,000 were pure sales.
This marks Brown’s third number one on the Billboard 200. His other albums F.A.M.E. (2011) and Fortune (2012) also nabbed the top spot. Overall, Indigo becomes Brown’s ninth consecutive top 10 album since releasing his self-titled debut album in 2005.
On the Hot 100 chart this week, his Drake-assisted track “No Guidance” remains at No. 9 for the second consecutive week. The trippy jam made a hot spot debut at its current position following its release. It earned Breezy his 11th top 10 entry as a lead artist, becoming his first since 2014’s “Loyal” featuring Tyga.
“No Guidance” also continues to win on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. Since extending his own reign for 48 top 10 singles on the airplay chart, the song has moved up three spots to No. 6 this week.
Brown will support his new album on his extensive INDIGOAT Tour this summer. The North American trek starts on August 20 in Portland. Special guests include Ty Dolla $ign, Tory Lanez, Joyner Lucas, and Yella Beezy.
