A month into her new album, Rouge, and Yuna is back with more visuals. For her latest video delivery, the Malaysian singer-songwriter brings her song “(Not) The Love of My Life” to fruition on-screen.
The self-directed video finds Yuna drawing inspiration from the melting pot of ethic groups that make up the culture in Malaysia. From the details in choreography and attire, Yuna exposed fans to refreshingly new perspectives.
Speaking on the song, Yuna wrote in the description, “‘Not The Love of My Life’ tells a story of a bride in the midst of getting ready for her wedding but is second guessing her decision to settle down.”
Yuna has put her promotion for Rouge into high gear since (and before) its arrive. She made an appearance on Vevo and dropped other visuals, including one for “Blank Marquee” featuring G-Eazy. The latter song is floating up the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart, resting at No. 22 this tracking week.
In November, Yuna will play Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Festival alongside Solange, Blood Orange, Daniel Caesar, and more. Following the carnival, Yuna will embark on a winter abroad tour that starts on December 2. Tickets can be found here.
