Gary Clark Jr. is still putting in hard work to promote his latest album This Land. The Grammy-winning bluesman has released a short film for his new-concert favorite “Pearl Cadillac.”
The black-and-white visual, directed by Clément Oberto, depicts the coming of age story of Clark, who had big dreams to become a superstar as a kid. With the blessing of his mother, he took the keys of her classic Cadillac Deville to embark on an uncharted road to superstardom.
His mother’s love and encouragement is illustrated by an on-screen maternal character who is by his side throughout this emotional picture.
While experiencing one of Clark’s shows in April, we can asset to him putting his all into this “Pearl Cadillac” performance.
Clark will continue to make headlines in support of This Land this fall. He will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on September 26 and The Late Late Show with James Corden on September 30.
In October, Clark will join Childish Gambino, Lizzo, Kali Uchis, Kaytranada, Masego, and Pink Sweat$ for the two-weekend, Austin City Limits Festival. Tickets are available here.
