R&B newcomer Brik.Liam will let go of some unwanted baggage on his next EP, What’s the Matter, Brik?, due on October 18 via Morton Records.
Liam draws inspiration for the eight-track release from the phase transitions between the four fundamental states of matter. As for the EP’s title, it was taken from a page of his personal story.
“It was a question I avoided asking myself for awhile, but I finally decided it was time to address it head on, and that’s when I started going to therapy and really digging in deep with my songwriting,” he revealed in a press statement.
Liam attaches the liquid state of matter to his lead single “Some Other Dude,” which just received video treatment. The visual can be seen below.
Liam will support his What’s the Matter, Brik? project on the road with his label founder PJ Morton this fall. He will perform his first of many select dates at The Vogue on November 13 in Indianapolis.
Ahead of his tour dates with Morton, Liam will play at The Drom on October 22 in New York. Tickets are available now.
