Alicia Keys is on a roll this year. Take a trip with the Grammy award-winning icon on her latest single “Time Machine.”
A haunting track, “Time Machine” is about coping with the pain of the past and fear of the future. The song steadily grows in intensity as Keys delivers some of the best vocals to date.
The song continues to build until it crashes into a funky breakdown where Keys croons the honest lyrics: “No we can’t rewind, life ain’t no time machine / but once you free your mind, there’s beauty in everything.”
Keys released “Show Me Love” featuring Miguel and its remix with 21 Savage, reaching the top five on the Adult R&B Chart. Both “Time Machine” and “Show Me Love” will appear to her upcoming seventh studio album.
Keys will host the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards on January 26, 2020, being the first female artist to host the show twice, according to Variety.
The Manhattan-native is also set to release a memoir titled More Myself, which is due March 31, 2020.
