Lucky Daye is no stranger to putting his feelings on the line. His emotions hold no bounds on his new single “Fade Away” from Issa Rae’s upcoming film, The Photograph.
The four-time Grammy nominee croons about keeping love alive, no matter what with much nonchalance on the heavily instrumented groove.
Supported by a rubbery bass and orchestric strings, he sings on the first verse, “I just want this feeling to last / I’ll beg, I’ll beg for you, they say / Feels, they change like the weather / Close my eyes, find forever / God be nice on the / The other side, the other side.”
“Fade Away” will be on the film’s soundtrack, available February 7.
The Photograph, starring Issa Rae and LaKeith Stanfield, hits theaters on Valentine’s Day.
