Following your dreams is no easy road. For those seeking motivation, Cocoa Sarai has the tune with her new single “Big Dummy.”
Hailing from Brooklyn by way of Los Angeles, the singer-songwriter vividly paints her journey to becoming an artist, regardless of how long it has taken.
With production from Symphony and Dre Pinckney, they lay quite a fitting background in the dreamy, doo-wop inspired track.
On the hook, she sings, “And oh honey / I would do this sh** for no money / 10 years you ain’t pop you big dummy / Talent I got they can’t take from me / And I couldn’t stop if I tried.”
If her name looks familiar, she was a featured artist on Anderson.Paak‘s 2018 album, Oxnard. She recently won a Grammy for her work on his latest album, Ventura.
