Baby Rose is the latest artist to visit NPR for their illustrious Tiny Desk series.
She transported viewers into her world and performed a few selections from her debut LP To Myself, released last August.
Rose opens the performance with “Sold Out.” She shares with the crowd, “It’s truly an honor to be here. It’s very surreal and I’m very grateful for this opportunity to be able to share some of my experiences through my music.”
While discussing how those experiences shape her music, she smoothly segues into “Ragrets.”
She seamlessly transitions to “Over,” following through with her smoky and somber tone. “Mortal” quickly follows and in mid-performance, she introduces her band, which features a string section. The crowd eagerly oblige Rose’s request to do one last number, closing with “All To Myself.”
The Washington D.C. native is headlining on her first North American and European tour later this month. Tickets for the To Myself tour are currently on sale, with sold-out dates in New York, Washington D.C. and London.
