The psychedelic band earned their first-ever top 10 single on urban adult contemporary radio with “Fkn Around” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. The out-of-sight groove replaced “Playing Games” by Summer Walker.
Now that the “Fkn Around” is gaining popularity on urban AC radio, it’s likely that Phony Ppl will pick up their first top 10 on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart. It currently stands at No. 11 for the latest tracking week of April 25.
“Fkn Around” is the first glimpse of new music from Phony Ppl since their 2018 project mō’zā-ik. The Ivan Baris-produced cut has over 3.8 million streams on Spotify, while the official video has close to four million views.
