Blossoming singer-songwriter Maurice Moore is embracing a revelation of love on a new track aptly-titled “Eyes.”
On the passionate new single, Moore is introduced to the love he has for his partner and vice-versa.
“How could a heart like yours ever love a heart like mine / How could I live before, how could I have been so blind,” he croons on the track.
The Canadian singer opened about the track’s inspiration, saying, “I know all too well what it feels like to meet somebody special, at the wrong time.”
“With ‘Eyes,’ I wanted to explore what it could be like if two people could figure out how to move their past baggage to see what’s on the other side,” he continues.
Moore expresses the role his real thoughts and feelings played into the songwriting process. He says, “Writing this song came so naturally because I was writing from a place of 100% honesty – channeling things that I’m going through in my life right now.”
With guitar-led riffs and a heavy-hitting 808 leading the way, “Eyes” makes for a candidly romantic time for the young newcomer.
Moore released his second project Destination Unknown last year. The Canadian singer described the EP as a “very emotional and spiritual journey” in an interview with Rated R&B.
