The Weeknd got his wish. The Grammy-winning artist made a dream appearance in a recent episode of Seth MacFarlane’s animated series, American Dad.
During the May 4 episode, A Starboy Is Born, co-written by Joel Hurwitz, The Weeknd gets kidnapped by Stan to teach Roger a lesson about rules.
The episode wouldn’t be complete without a new The Weeknd track. He teamed up with Asa Taccone to write “I’m a Virgin,” which played out during a scene between him and Hailey Smith.
Dishing on his involvement on American Dad, The Weeknd told Variety, “I’m a longtime fan of the show. I’ve been watching since high school but I really appreciated it about seven years ago. It’s been running for so long, and I feel like it has a real cult following. To really enjoy the show in its entirety you have to really know the characters.”
In March of this year, The Weeknd dropped his hit album After Hours. Rated R&B shared five takeaways from the new album, before the Canadian phenomenon followed up with a deluxe edition equipped with five additional songs. The upgraded version includes remixes from A-listers such as Lil Uzi Vert, Chromatics, The Blaze and more.
