August Alsina has awakened from his music slumber and issued a red alert for his next project. The code red release is called The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy and it’s set to arrive on June 26 via Shake the World / EMPIRE.
The 27-track album follows 2019’s Forever and a Day. The Product III features collaborations with Lil Wayne, Yo Gotti, Juicy J and Tink.
Alsina began recording on the album while away from the spotlight working on himself, his family and his health. He broke down his new album title, describing it as “EMERGE•and•SEE.”
“The goal of this project is to expose myself through the art and to help others reveal their true selves,” he wrote on Instagram. “Go back into the past, bring it into the present and positively impact our future. I want to show the community that we’ve all had to overcome some type of obstacle. Some greater than others, but pain is pain… and pain and its threshold is subjective and different from each individual.”
He continues, “Through the sharing of my own life stories, I hope to show that these things are only experiences and they do not define who we are. It is simply given to us to help us build and grow, catapulting us into our next dimension into our newer selves.”
