Victoria Monét enters the New Music Friday fray with her new SG-Lewis produced pop gem, and brings Khalid along for the ultra-dreamy ride.
A definite top 40 staple, “Experience” is complemented by a glittery backbeat and current-day harmonies and vocals. The two singers trade pleasant verses about returning to the heart of someone they love after some much-needed breathing room.
“Love always feels better, when it’s true / Love tastes way too bitter, when it’s you / I’m all out of love / You gave it away / I’m hoping that experience could get you to change,” Monét sings.
“Experience” is the latest offering from Monét’s upcoming project, Jaguar, which is expected to arrive sometime later this year.
She previously released the slippery “Dive” and the bedroom jam “Moment” in 2020.
