The 2020 edition of the Roots Picnic is going virtual.
In collaboration with The Roots and Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote voters registration initiative, the 13th annual festival, originally set for May 30, will be available to watch on June 27 on The Roots’ official YouTube page.
The expected names to perform at the one-day celebration includes H.E.R., SZA, Snoh Aalegra, Musiq Soulchild, Kirk Franklin, D-Nice, and more.
Janelle Monáe, Tom Hanks, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kerry Washington, Chris Paul, and many others are on the roll call to make appearances at the virtual music experience.
Hosted by Questlove, Black Thought, and the former First Lady, the Roots Picnic 2020 will stream live at 8 p.m. EST / 5 p.m. PST. You don’t want to miss it.
