If you need a little more Lionel Richie in your life, then you’re in luck.
According to Variety, Walt Disney Studios is developing a musical movie, tentatively-titled All Night Long, to the tune of Richie’s greatest hits.
Richie, along with his manager Bruce Eskowitz, is in talks to produce the film. Screenwriter Pete Chiarelli (Crazy Rich Asians, The Proposal) is reportedly working on the script.
Richie’s impact on R&B is sure to make a splash in Hollywood. He is the recipient of four Grammy Awards, three Academy Awards and has sold over 100 million records worldwide.
His yester-year jams such as “Hello,” “Endless Love,” and the aptly-titled “All Night Long” are sure to light up the big screen.
The Commodores singer sold the idea to Disney back in January. He currently serves as a judge on American Idol on the company’s flagship network ABC.
The prolific singer released the “Hello by Lionel Richie” his-and-hers fragrance late last year.
