Nearly 25 years after the release of their groundbreaking debut album, Destiny’s Child’s remarkably solid catalog is still amassing certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The holy trinity has a rolling total of eight new platinum singles. Destiny Fulfilled, their quasi-fourth and final album, accounts for three awards, including “Soldier,” “Cater 2 U” and “Lose My Breath.”
Joining those singles at the platinum plateau are “Bootylicious,” “Independent Women Part 1,” and the title track of their Grammy-nominated 2001 album.
The Writing’s on the Wall’s “Bills, Bills, Bills” and “Jumpin, Jumpin” both make it to the platinum level, while the Grammy-winning “Say My Name” goes triple platinum. The album, now available on vinyl, celebrated its 20th anniversary last July. We revisited the LP here.
Additionally, Destiny’s Child’s 2001 holiday album 8 Days of Christmas earns platinum success.
D3 continues to prove that they are indeed survivors. Congratulations, ladies.
