Blooming singer-songwriter Savannah Ré is gifting fans with new vibes this summer with her new song “Where You Are” via Universal Music Canada.
Written by Ré and Marcus Semaj and produced by Boi-1da and Allen Ritter, the romantic single details the singer’s desire to stick by her partner no matter where the relationship takes them.
“I can get you right, I just the night, get you alone / You know this ain’t no race, you can pick the pace, get you in the zone / Hate it when we fight, when we say goodnight / You’re all mine, not for the night but for all life,” she croons on the track.
“We started the song in L.A. at Record Plant recording studios and it was just such an amazing experience,” Ré said about the track. “‘Where You Are’ is about my own experience of having to be away from my man, literally in different countries, for sometimes months at a time.”
She added, “Marcus Semaj helped me paint the full picture and we brought forward something that is so real and relatable. It’s actually wild that this song was pre-quarantine because it’s almost eerie how relevant it is now.”
“Where You Are” serves as the first single from Ré’s highly-anticipated upcoming EP Opia. The Toronto songstress released her latest single “DVP” back in April.
