Emerging singer Dola is taking her music out of this world with her debut EP, Space Daughter, which comes with a visual for each song.
The five-song project is Dola’s ode to the Divine Feminine. “Space Daughter, the main character of the visual EP seen at the beginning of every video, connects each musical chapter, allowing viewers to follow her on her journey,” Dola explains to Rated R&B. “I’m beyond grateful to finally emerge as the musician I am and have always been.”
Dola, whose real name is Condola Rashad — and yes, her mother is thee Phylicia Rashad, will donate proceeds from individual tracks to different nonprofit organizations, including Campaign Zero (“What I Said”), VH1 Save the Music Foundation (“Running in Place”), Hearts of Gold (“Give Up the Gold”), Food Bank for New York City (“Blue”) and The Marsha P. Johnson Institute (“Too Fire”).
