Tweet is back. The Southern Hummingbird has released an endearing song titled “Neva Felt This Way.”
Over a beautiful piano-laden production, crafted by Craig Brockman and Charlie Bereal, Tweet describes the feeling of finally finding someone who loves her with no limits.
“When I wake up in the morning / You put a smile on my face / And if the day’s a disappointment / I think of you and I’m ok,” she passionately sings in the first verse.
“Coming out of a bad relationship, I met someone that really showed me unconditional love,” Tweet tells Rated R&B over the phone, just hours before the song officially releases. “It really wasn’t a relationship, it was a friendship that led to something that made me feel like I’ve never felt this way before. I’ve never had anybody just, even in my brokenness, love me through that. The song was birthed out of someone loving me unconditionally.”
“Neva Felt This Way” is Tweet’s third song to release in 2020. It follows “I Admit It” and “Remedy,” which Tweet says were promotional tracks for her fans to enjoy. It is the first single from Tweet’s upcoming EP that will release later this year via Entertainment One. The project will follow her 2016 LP, Charlene.
