Editor’s Note: The premiere has been delayed until further notice.

Code red: Monica has announced Mo Talk, a new radio show on Apple Music. The R&B legend shared her excitement about landing the show on her Instagram on Friday, describing the feeling as a “dream come true.”

According to Monica, Mo Talk will be “a safe place for us to discuss the many things we’ve all faced with in today’s world.” She notes it will be informative, fun, and real. The radio show will also include special guests, along with calls from her still-devoted fans and supporters.

The first episode of Mo Talk was originally set to air on September 13, however, Monica announced that it will now premiere in October. “I have taken the need for this to be far more than a radio show with a playlist only into in-depth consideration,” she said in a statement. “We want interactive segments that allow our listeners & viewers to obtain information that they wouldn’t usually, experience great interviews all while having a great time listening to their favorite songs both throwback & current!”

Mo Talk comes on the heels of her history-making VERZUZ battle with Brandy. The celebration garnered over six million views from combined platforms, and soared multiple albums and songs from the two up the iTunes charts, including Monica’s newest banger “Trenches” featuring Lil Baby. In addition, their VERZUZ battle helped raise $250,000 for the When We All Vote campaign.

In July, Monica celebrated the 25th anniversary of her debut album Miss Thang. We revisited the album, with an in-depth editorial. Prior to that, we looked back at her 2010 comeback album, Still Standing, for its 10th anniversary.
