It’s not every day that someone wants to be straight with you about how they’re feeling inside. Fledgling triple threat Brandon has no problem Coming Clean about his inner emotions and thoughts on his intently introspective debut EP.
Brandon built anticipation for his first collection of music on the strength of three early singles including the pining “Baby,” the regretful “Makeup” and the uncertain “Mourning.” The former track came with a matching video.
While Coming Clean, every bit of radically cathartic, is filled with guitar-steered thrillers, the true highlight is “Solo.” Here, Brandon, in a weary and hazy voice, languishes about the unknown reasons why a romance fell off track.
When asked what he hopes fans take from Coming Clean, Brandon tells Rated R&B via email, “All I can say is that I hope my listeners feel what I feel when I sing these songs.”
In addition to the debut project, Brandon has shared a music video for the closing track “Her.”
