Mýa has entered chapter 41 of her life with a new perspective on love. For the third time in 2020, the Grammy-winning diva returns to us, refreshed and assured, dropping a brand new single titled “I Deserve it.”
The level-headed anthem, possessing trap vibrations and darkly tinted piano playing, sounds like an entry from Mýa’s diary. In an appealing vocal, the R&B veteran is thinking clearly about a love gone wrong with an unappreciative ex.
Now, with her head on straight, thanks to her own inner strength, Mýa is planning to treat herself to a much-deserved vacation with her girlfriends to put the relationship far out of sight.
“I Deserve It” follows the easy-flowing and Louis York-helmed “Space and Time” and the intoxicating sequel to “You Got Me” from earlier this year. She dropped a comforting video for the former track, too.
