Raheem DeVaughn has released seven albums, all of which have the word in love in the title, over the course of his 15-year career. His last album, The Love Reunion, came out last year and followed his 2018 LP, Decade of a Love King. The R&B everyman will keep the tradition of love going strong for his next studio effort.
What A Time To Be In Love, the eighth album from DeVaughn, and his second for the SRG/ILS imprint, is due out November 20. Originally scheduled to arrive on October 9, the Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter shared on Instagram, with greater confidence, the new release date for his anticipated studio set.
Frequent collaborators The Colleagues are working behind the boards for DeVaughn’s forthcoming album. They are responsible for the production on the album’s lead single “Marvin Used to Say,” alongside Dezperawdos.
Shining a spotlight on DeVaughn’s 2019 album, the 14-track project landed on Rated R&B’s best R&B albums of the same year list. Decade of a Love King received the same praise from our publication on the 2018 year-end albums list, proving that DeVaughn is masterful in delivering the solid R&B.
This summer, DeVaughn lent his voice to a remake of Quincy Jones’ “The Secret Garden.” It also featured vocal contributions from Omar Wilson, Shawn Stockman, and Sisqó.
