London native Sinéad Harnett has teamed up with Atlanta duo EarthGang for her new single “Take Me Away.”
Produced by GRADES, “Take Me Away” provides a soothing escape during chaotic times. On the track, Harnett describes how being in love helps keep her centered. “I wonder what’s goin’ on / In the world that we live in, so unforgivin’ / But you are my escape,” she calmly sings.
While it’s easily to get consumed in news and hot topics on social media, “Take Me Away” is a reminder that we all need to find time to unplug from the digital world and be present in the moment.
Harnett explained in a statement, “When I sent the idea for ‘Take Me Away’ to Johnny Venus he assumed I’d written it recently. Weirdly art has a strange way of feeding into life and vice versa, so he took an old idea and added his own story to it in real time. Right now, a little escape is something a lot of us are looking for, so I hope this song can be just that.”
“Take Me Away” is preceded by “Stickin'” featuring Masego and VanJess. Both tracks will appear on Harnett’s sophomore album that is slated to arrive in early 2021. The upcoming project will follow her 2019 debut effort, Lessons in Love.
