If you follow Kyle Dion on social media, then you know how much he misses performing in front of his dedicated fans. The indie kid got somewhat closer to his growing audience in a new live show that was a part of the Move Forward Music Fest 2020.
Dion, clad in a green striped sweater and destroyed jeans, opened his over 20-minute set with last year’s “Stay the Night.” He soon transitioned into recent tracks like the vibrant tune “Brandy” and “Stressed Out.”
Dion rendered a cover of Robin Thicke’s “Teach U a Lesson” from 2006’s The Evolution of Robin Thicke. He apologized to the R&B veteran if any of the words were butchered.
The highlight of the set was indeed Dion’s falsetto when he performed “That Don’t Mean a Thing.” The future-soul hipster capped the show with “Brown,” which is lifted from his SUGA debut.
