Savannah Ré needs concrete reassurance that her partner will be “Solid” in her new song.
The burgeoning singer has released a video as well. Directed by Alicia K. Harris, the delicately jarring visual chronicles the grieving place where broken hearts go. Slightly inspired by sci-fi series Black Mirror, a young woman wakes up to find herself reliving the pleasant and unhappy moments after the demise of her relationship.
Ré shared some background to the heartfelt track on social media.
“I’m very private, but this song and this moment [getting married] were the most vulnerable moments of my life,” she revealed. “We got married in a recording studio, music is how we communicate. Written by me, produced by my husband.”
