Kenyon Dixon and Alex Isley add to the progressive fusion of dance and R&B on their new collaboration “Expectations.”
Penned by Dixon, the two emerging singers use this earworm of cosmic synths and handclaps to explore the vibes of their respective interests.
“I had no expectations / I don’t care if we misbehave / Or just have conversation / We both here, so let’s celebrate,” they sing on the chorus.
“Expectations” comes months after Dixon teamed up with Avery Wilson for “What I Like.” Dixon promises that more surprise collaborations will come before the year wraps.
As for Isley, she recently lent her voice to Chromonicci’s fluid new track “Interstellar.” Prior to that, she shared two Jack Dine-helmed tracks this year, including “Mine” and “Good & Plenty” featuring Masego.
