Sinead Harnett is doing everything right to gain attraction for her 2021 album. Part of that promotion checklist is releasing music videos, which the British soul siren recently does for her EARTHGANG-featured single “Take Me Away.”
Harnett collaborated with director Andre Muir, who she felt exhibited a strong level of care, to bring the communal-styled video to life.
“This year taught us more than we maybe knew was fathomable. It taught me how messed up the world really is. But it taught me about what truly matters. Equality, love, peace, and hope,” Harnett explained. “This video was a chance to illustrate escapism, to empower, to feel free.”
The free-spirited visual concludes with commentary from Black men and women on their personal perspectives of being Black and present in a year like 2020.
Harnett’s untitled follow-up to last year’s Lessons in Love is expected to arrive sometime next year. It will include the early single “Stickin” featuring VanJess and Masego.
