Months after releasing her viral debut single “Down For It,” Idman returns with the official video.
“Down For It” is a mid-tempo song with a smooth bassline and a flowing production. The song lyrics are full of affirmations from the singer to herself. Idman sings reassurance to herself saying that she was built for this life, and would stick with it through thick and thin.
The artistic visual was directed by Sabaah Folayan. The video is shot beautifully in an avant-garde style. It features the singer in expressive setups centering around the beach and a blue scene. In the beach scene, the Toronto native is surrounded by extras draped in blue. While she herself has on a gold ensemble. In the blue scene, she dazzles us in a shiny blue dress covered in blue light.
Alongside the video, Idman announced her new record deal with Arista Records in partnership with Golly Geng.
“Down For It” is the Toronto-born Idman’s buzzworthy debut song. Since its July release, the single has received over one million streams to date.
