What a pleasure it is to have a new album from Lion Babe. Rainbow Child, the third album from the duo composed of Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman, arrives two years after Cosmic Wind.
Rainbow Child consists of nine songs, three of which were previously released, including the underground dance tune “Frida Kahlo,” the guitar-backed duet “Signs” with Siimbiie Lakew, and the Trinidad James-assisted “Get Up.”
Ghostface Killah appears on the opener “Rainbows,” while Afrofuturism duo OSHUN contributes to “It’s Okay.”
Regarding Rainbow Child, Lion Babe said in their announcement, “This album got us through the pandemic and has brought so much transformation and love to our lives.”
