Singer-songwriter Liana Bank$ is emotionally unavailable on her new track titled “Zero Fcks.”
Over a catchy and melodic production, Bank$ sings about reaching a breaking point in a relationship after dealings with a partner who continues to make the same mistakes. “How many f*cks do I got left (Zero) / How many times were you honest? (Zero) / How many ways did you stay true? (Zero) / F*ck all the times I forgave you,” she sings.
In a press statement, Bank$ described how she learned how to forgive. “I’ve always been very quick to cut people out of my life at the first wrong-doing. I wouldn’t even allow myself to care too much in order to protect my feelings. I realized it was a defense mechanism and wanted to work on knocking those fences down,” Bank$ shared.
She added, “Honestly, I had to dig deep and learn forgiveness from scratch. It took some time, but it worked….Unfortunately a lil too well lol. Look, forgiveness is a beautiful, freeing, vibrational raising experience for sure! But habitual forgiveness for the same offense? Who has time for that? Certainly not me.”
On top of releasing “Zero Fcks,” Bank$ has unleashed its accompanying video. Directed by Grizz Lee (Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande) the visual depicts Bank$ letting go of the baggage from her former relationship.
“Zero Fcks” is the first offering from Bank$’s upcoming EP, Apt. 210. It will follow her 2016 EP, Insubordinate.
Though it’s been five years since Bank$ last dropped a project, she has certainly kept herself busy. She has recently written for Queen Naija (“Set Him Up” featuring Ari Lennox), Lion Babe (“Reminisce”), and Demi Lovato (“My Girlfriends Are My Boyfriend” featuring Saweetie), to name a few.
