Snoh Aalegra is the latest artist to record something nostalgic and new for the Are & Be playlist series powered by Spotify Singles.
The two-pack of singles included a dramatized, screwed not chopped rendition of “Lost You,” which hit the top ten on R&B radio as well as the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart.
Aalegra followed the expression version of her current single with an equally arresting remake of Bobby Caldwell’s 1978 breakthrough single “What You Won’t Do For Love.”
“This song has always had a special place in my heart. If you’ve been to one of my shows, you’ve most likely heard me sing it,” Aalegra said in a statement regarding her cover choice.
She most recently shared a video for “Neon Peach” featuring Tyler, The Creator. The song is lifted from her summer release Temporary Highs in the Violent Skies. Aalegra’s latest LP follows 2019’s – Ugh, Those Feels Again, and includes the early single “Dying 4 Your Love.”
