Mario and Chris Brown have joined forces for a new song titled “Get Back.”
Over a mid-tempo production, the two R&B veterans exchange verses about wanting to spend more time in the bedroom with their respective love interests.
“Your complexion’s iridescent, it’s so magical / You’re so colorful / Baby, you know what I want,” Mario sings, before Brown chimes in with, “It’s you / It ain’t enough for me to beg, tell me / Somethin’ I can do instead, baby.”
Speaking on his new collaboration with Brown, Mario said, “Being able to continue to make memorable moments that will contribute to R&B being a mainstream genre means a lot to me. My brother and I have been proud to represent the DMV and it makes it that much more rewarding when you are genuinely a fan of someone as a creator and performer and to see certain collaborations like this come into fruition is monumental.”
“Get Back” is Mario’s first single since releasing “Luxury Love” in February. Last year, he released a five-track EP called Closer to Mars.
As for Brown, he has been in his features bag lately. This year, he collaborated with Ann Marie (“Check for Me”), Wale (“Angles”), Sevyn Streeter (“Guilty”) and H.E.R. (“Come Through”), to name a few. The latter track was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in September. Speaking of certifications, Brown gained 27 new awards from the RIAA. Last year, he teased that his tenth album will be titled Breezy, named after his alias and tribe of supporters (Team Breezy).
