2022 Grammy Awards Nominations Announced: R&B Edition

Editor’s Note: The Grammy Awards have been rescheduled and will now air on Sunday, April 3 at 8 p.m. EST.

The Recording Academy has revealed the nominees for the 64th Grammy Awards. 

Moments before the big reveal, the Academy announced an update to its general field categories.

“Effective this year, in our four general field categories – Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Best New Artist – we are expanding the number of nominees from eight to ten,” said Tammy Hurt, Chair of the Board of Trustees and Harvey Mason jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, in a joint statement.

The 64th Grammy Awards will air live on Monday, Jan. 31, 2022, at 8 p.m. EST / 5 p.m. PST on CBS.
