Moonchild has shared a recent single from their forthcoming album Starfruit. The LP’s opening track “Tell Him” features Lalah Hathaway.
“Tell Him” features the airy and seductive vocals of Amber Navran and the mellow and husky tone of Hathaway over a dreamy, mid-tempo instrumental. The soothing tune is tracked by lyrics where the momentum of a relationship weighs in the balance of unspoken words.
“So honored to have your incredible voice on this one,” wrote Moonchild on Instagram about collaborating with Hathaway.
Ahead of “Tell Him,” Starfruit includes previously shared singles “Too Good” and “You Got One” featuring Alex Isley. Additional guests include Rapsody, Tank and The Bangas, Ill Camille, Mumu Fresh, Chantae Cann, and Josh Johnson.
Starfruit is Moonchild’s follow-up to Little Ghost. The album is out on Feb. 11, via Tru Thoughts.
Moonchild will support the upcoming album on a massive world tour, launching on Feb. 14, in the United Kingdom. They’ll return to North America sometime in March to carry out the second leg until it wraps on May 13. Tickets are available now.
