Any good romancer can tell you that a love that can stand the test of time has the best ending. JoiStaRR pens her “Love Story” in her latest track.
On this pure R&B, gospel-hinted track, courtesy of production props from Grammy-winning musician and her brother Warryn Campbell, JoiStaRR delivers a letter of devotion with a pledge to stick beside her man forever if he stays true always. Not even outside noise and trials and tribulations will prevent JoiStaRR from preserving what they built.
Of the track, JoiStaRR wrote on Instagram, “When I wrote this song my life changed. I became a songwriter. A story writer that day. One that Jon Platt, the first publisher to ever sign me would be proud of. At the time part was just a dream. Now it’s my reality.”

In the video for “Love Story,” JoiStaRR, with the help of director James Earl, showcases multiple stories, with one taking center stage. The video is set in Los Angeles, the hometown of JoiStaRR, which she is “proud of” making happen.
“I’ve always wanted to do a shoot that showed where I’m from,” shared JoiStaRR.
“‘Hallelujah and blessings to anyone who grew up in the hood OR underprivileged environment living and working through pain, and hate, growing up in traumatic unsafe situations just trying to survive and STILL became a walking LOVE STORY. You are a supernova.”
Having worked in different facets of the entertainment industry, namely as an actress and a songwriter and background vocalist for huge names like Mary J. Blige, Musiq Soulchild, Tamela Mann, and K. Michelle, JoiStaRR has done well for herself forging a solo career.
In 2013, she came out with her debut EP, Art & Beat. After that, she stayed active, primarily in 2021, with a handful of standalone tracks and collaborated with PJ Morton and Maurice Moore over the years.
