Lifetime has unveiled the official trailer for its original film Wrath: A Seven Deadly Sins Story starring Michelle Williams and Tina Knowles-Lawson.
Romeo Miller and Antonio Cupo also star in the film, which premieres Saturday, April 16, at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
Williams plays Chasity Jeffries, a single lawyer who meets a charming guy named Xavier Collins (played by Cupo). After spending time with Xavier on dates and in the bedroom, she introduces him to her childhood boyfriend, Roger Thompkins (played by Miller).
Despite no romantic chemistry between Chasity and Roger, it doesn’t prevent Xavier from showing his true colors — a jealous, possessive and abusive man.
“I’m not about to be a woman in an abusive relationship,” Chasity says in the trailer.
After growing tired of Xavier’s antics, she turns to her mother Sarah (played by Knowles-Lawson) and Roger to see her way out of her toxic relationship. However, Chasity realizes that it is her who will have to save herself.

Williams shared the trailer on Instagram with a comical caption, “I was trying to wait until my momma and certain clergy went to bed before I posted but I temporarily blocked them for the next 24 hours! 😂👀😂👀😂👀😂.”
Wrath: A Seven Deadly Sins Story is from Lifetime’s Seven Deadly Sins Anthology and it will follow 2021’s films Lust and Envy. The former starred Keri Hilson and Tank.
On Saturday, April 23, Lifetime will premiere Greed: A Seven Deadly Sins Story starring Eric Benét, Monique Coleman, LisaRaye McCoy and Nathan Witte.
Troy Scott directed both Wrath and Greed from scripts written by Richard Blaney and Gregory Small (Wrath), and Wuese Houston-Jibo (Greed).
