PJ Morton kicked off the week with an appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America. The award-winning musician performed his new single “My Peace” with JoJo and Mr. Talkbox.
Seated behind his keyboard with his band by his side, Morton propped his co-stars Mr. Talkbox and JoJo to the forefront to showcase their talents.
“My Peace” is the second single from Morton’s upcoming album, Watch The Sun, out April 29 on Morton Records/EMPIRE. The anthem, which swipes its horns section from an OutKast classic, follows his previously shared single, “Please Don’t Walk Away,” released in October 2021.

In addition to JoJo and Mr. Talkbox, Morton enlisted Jill Scott, El DeBarge, Nas, Alex Isley, and Stevie Wonder, to name a few, for Watch The Sun.
Morton wrote and recorded the true successor of 2019’s Paul at Studio In The Country in Bogalusa, Louisiana, to escape from the world around him.
His decision on who to bring in as featured artists came later down the line in his recording. “One of my main rules is to not think of guests while I’m creating,” explained Morton.
“When you think of the guest first, it becomes about what would fit for them instead of just making the best song I can make. Every guest is there in a super-intentional way – not because of who they are, but because they fit on these songs.”
Morton, who won his fourth Grammy at the 2022 ceremony, is plotting a massive headlining behind Watch The Sun. He’ll start with dates in Australia before returning to North America to sprinkle his voice across major cities at festivals and other venues. Get more information on his Watch The Sun Tour here.
