Beep beep. Paloma Ford is outside this year with a new song titled “Bentley Truck.”
On the braggadocious, self-written track, Ford sings across a hard-hitting, melodic production about how she’s the numero uno, and no one else comes close. In essence, she compares her luxuriousness to that of this high-end SUV.
“You know I got it / Foreign exotic, blue like Hpnotiq / You know I got it, sex so erotic (Oh) / Know how you want it,” she sings.
Ford exclusively tells Rated R&B the inspiration behind the new song, describing it as “luxury, unapologetic and empowering.” She added, “It’s just about feeling yourself exuding that confidence being YOU.”
“Bentley Truck” is Ford’s first release of the year and the lead track from her forthcoming untitled project, due this fall. She is hush on the details involving the follow-up to 2020’s X Tapes. However, she is excited about the future.
“My career is always evolving. Of course, you can look forward to more music and visuals. I have a very special feature coming out at the end of the summer. On top of that, I’m excited to deliver the fans a cohesive Paloma experience, tying in live shows, fashion and film!”
Noted earlier, Ford dropped her latest project, X Tapes, in 2020. She broke down each track from the EP exclusively with Rated R&B. The following year, she issued the video “All For Nothing” featuring Rick Ross.
Ford told Rated R&B, “X Tapes was all about staying true to myself. I try to keep it as raw as possible. You’re going to feel those familiar R&B influences that inspire me, as well as fresh sounds and tempos that are Paloma Ford.”
