R&B newcomer Langston Bleu has released a new single, “The Motions.” It arrives with an A-Side and B-Side, both produced by Cheap Limousine.
A-Side is essentially a pop-R&B dance track, while the B-Side is a sighing slow jam that makes Bleu’s pleas to make it through romantic pitfalls more meaningful.
“If we did it before we gon’ do it again / Too much to give up, so we both give in / Next thing you know what’s happening / We right back where we started again,” Bleu sings.
Bleu tells Rated R&B he got the inspiration to release two versions of “The Motions” after a recent visit to the record store. “I knew I wanted to play with that idea of packaging new music together in the same way,” says Bleu.

“‘The Motions’ is important to me because I really wanted to show my versatility not just as a songwriter but as a vocalist as well,” Bleu adds.
“I spent a lot of the summer on Twitter reading and partaking in R&B conversations, and people said they wanted R&B they could dance to, so I gave that in Side A. Still, I know people also said they missed vocals, so I tried to give that in Side B.”
“The Motions” marks Bleu’s second new music release this year. In April, he returned after a year-long sabbatical with “Superstar.”
Back in winter 2021, Bleu dropped his debut project, Bleu. Some highlights included “Love On the Rocks” and “Numb,” a flirty jam.
“When I decided to come back to music, I knew it had to be different. I knew I had to come harder and I had a lot to prove, especially to myself. This body of work saved my life and I’m so happy you guys are enjoying it. My heart is so full,” wrote Bleu at the time of its release.
