Jennifer Hudson’s daytime talk show, The Jennifer Hudson Show, has been renewed for a second season.
The award-winning singer and actress announced the news during a segment on her show on Wednesday morning (Jan. 11).
During her heartfelt monologue, Hudson thanked the show’s crew, the staff, guests, her in-studio audience, viewers at home, and her family.
“Yes, it may be called The Jennifer Hudson Show, but look around this room — the crew, the staff — it is so many people that is here daily, working like nobody’s business to pull this show together so that I can come out here and simply just be Jennifer. And I am so grateful,” said Hudson.
“To you and to the viewers at home, I want to say thank you all for giving me your hearts. I love y’all so much. Thank you for letting me into your homes, into your lives. You bless us just the same. It’s y’all energy that lifts us up. So you have just as much of a part of us being here as us pushing and working as hard as we do on this side.”
Hudson added, “Y’all, The Jennifer Hudson Show has got renewed for season two!”

The Jennifer Hudson Show premiered on Hudson’s 40th birthday (Sept. 12, 2022) via Fox Television Stations and Hearst Television.
“People from around the world have been a part of my journey from the beginning – twenty years ago – and I’m so ready to join their journey as we sit down and talk about the things that inspire and move us all,” said Hudson.
“I have always loved people and I cannot wait to connect on a deeper level and let audiences see the different sides of who I am, the human being, in return. And I couldn’t be more thrilled to do it alongside this incredible team. We’re about to have a lot of fun and shake things up a little bit!”

Hudson was among the presenters at the 80th Golden Globe Awards, which aired live Tuesday night.
The EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) winner was dressed in a beautiful gold tile mirror and crystal gown by CD Greene.
Hudson was nominated for Best Original Song at the 2022 Golden Globes for “Here I Am (Singing My Way Home)” from the Respect soundtrack. She had previously won a Golden Globe in 2007 for Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture (Dreamgirls).
