As Valentine’s Day looms, MAJOR. hopes to be part of a few surprise proposals with his new single “Baby Will You Love Me.”
Well-known for his romantic odes, the Grammy-nominated artist sings a tale of love at first sight that he wants evermore.
“She stole my heart in record time / A beauty like a joy divine / She hypnotized me / She got me and I didn’t mind,” MAJOR. sings over a production tribute dedicated to the days of barbershop harmonies.
“Baby Will You Love” is the first new offering from MAJOR this year. It has yet to be determined if the song will appear on a new album or project.
MAJOR. previously released two songs in 2022, “My Word” and “Whole World in His Hands.” The latter gospel-indebted track, released in June 2022, was part of his signing packet to MNRK Music Group (formerly eOne Music).
MAJOR.’s first recording for his new label, “Whole World in His Hands,” reached No. 20 on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart.
It also earned him several nominations during the recent award season, including Best Gospel/Inspirational Award at the 2022 Soul Train Awards.
More recently, MAJOR. picked up a 2023 NAACP Image Awards nomination for Outstanding Gospel/Christian Song. The ceremony will broadcast live from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California, on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET on BET.
