SZA has released a video for her latest SOS focus track “Kill Bill.” It was directed by Christian Breslauer, who recently shot visuals for The Weeknd, John Legend, Khalid and more.

In the epic visual, SZA reimagines Quentin Tarantino‘s vengeful and murderous character, The Bride (originally played by Uma Thurman), from the 2003 film Kill Bill: Volume 1.

Playing the scorned lover, SZA is hell-bent on exacting revenge on her attempted murderer and ex-boyfriend. She cleverly includes a series of crucial scenes from the 2003 thriller in a quick yet effective fashion.

Between the martial arts-based sword fight to an unforeseen extraction of her former lover’s heart, SZA turned a four-minute visual into a cinematic experience.

Her homage to the nostalgic movie doesn’t end there. Acclaimed actress Vivica A. Fox makes an appearance, reprising her standout role as Vernita Green a.k.a. Copperhead.

Before the video concludes, SZA turns her sex appeal on full-blast with “Seek & Destroy,” another track from her chart-topping sophomore album, SOS.

“Kill Bill” debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Global 200 chart in late December.

According to Billboard, the Global 200 chart “ranks the top songs based on streaming and/or sales activity from more than 200 territories around the world- including the U.S. – as tracked by Luminate.”

At the time of publication, the song is No. 1 on the same chart and No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Circling back to SOS, the RIAA gold-certified album has remained at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart for four consecutive weeks, the longest reign by a woman since Adele’s album 30.

With SOS leading the Billboard 200, it marks the first R&B album by a woman to have a four-week No. 1 streak since Alicia Keys’ As I Am.

Remarkably, SZA is the first woman in R&B in 30 years to have an album hold the Billboard 200 top spot in its first four weeks. Janet Jackson was the last with 1993’s janet.

In a recent Instagram post, SZA expressed gratitude for meeting such an amazing accomplishment.

“I don’t have shit to say but thank you to God, my ancestors, my family, my team and ALL OF YOU THAT RIDE FOR ME! ESPECIALLY CAMP!! Y’all my family too. We have so much more to come,” SZA wrote.

On Feb. 21, SZA will kick off her headlining SOS North American Tour in Columbus, Ohio.
