Genre-bending artist Chiiild reunites with Lucky Daye for a new song, “Good For Now.” It was co-produced by D’Mile, xSDTRK and Pierre-Luc Rioux.
On “Good For Now,” Chiiild and Daye exchange rich and haunting vocals as they sing about the comfort in living life for the moment and not for what is to come in the future.
They express the sentiment that there is no need to rush into something deeper as there is happiness to be found wherever their situationship already lies.
“Tell me that we’re dreaming / Don’t say that we’re in love / Whatever this is / It’s good for now,” they sing in the chorus.
“Sometimes we get caught up in the feelings and start thinking about the future with the hope that the feeling lasts. This song is a reminder that whatever happens, we should be present in the moment because we don’t know what tomorrow brings,” Chiiild says.
“Good For Now” is the third song from Chiiild’s upcoming album, Better Luck In The Next Life, set to arrive on March 3 via Avant Garden/4th & Broadway/Def Jam Recordings.
His latest release keeps the daydream-like ambiance heard on his 2022 singles, “Bon Voyage” and “You Get Me (A Final Word).”
Chiiild worked on “Compassion,” from Daye’s Grammy-nominated album Candydrip, released in March 2022.
Daye’s sophomore LP was named the Best R&B Album by Rated R&B.
