LA’DY, the newly-launched R&B band, has released their debut single “Love Me Down” via B.O.E. Records/Dare Records.
The midtempo groove was co-produced by Harmony Samuels (Janet Jackson, Fantasia, Ariana Grande) and Edgar “JV” Etienne.
On “Love Me Down,” LA’DY wastes no time with small talk and dives straight into the passionate bedroom encounters with their respective partners.
“Let’s just take our places / I’m not meant to chase it / It’s just human nature / When I let you love me down / F**k conversations, we ain’t gotta say sh*t / We been through the basics / Come over and love me down,” vocalist Ashley Kimbrae sings in the irresistible chorus.
“We are extremely excited for our first single ‘Love Me Down’ to be released,” says LA’DY in a joint statement. “We hope everyone enjoys this sultry R&B single and can’t wait to give y’all more! We’re appreciative to Dare Records for believing in us and pushing this record!”
“Love Me Down” is the first offering from LA’DY’s forthcoming EP, set to arrive later this year. Samuels also serves as the EP’s executive producer.
Formed in 2019, LA’DY is an all-Black woman band. Its five members include Ashley Kimbrae (vocals), Kris Callazo (keys), Zuri Appleby (bass), Michel’Le Baptiste (drums), and Ari O’Neal (guitar).
