Turner passed away at 83 due to a long illness in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.
LaBelle, presented with the BET Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011, was among the artists to pay tribute to Turner in a social media post.
“Tina, the world will forever be grateful for your voice, your fearlessness, and your grace,” wrote LaBelle in a caption for a photo of Turner. “You truly are the Queen of Rock & Roll and your spirit will reign forever! Rest in eternal peace and love!”
