Coco Jones is among the first artists announced to perform at the 2023 BET Awards, set to air live Sunday, June 25, at 8 p.m. ET from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.

Jones, whose breakthrough hit “ICU” remains No. 1 for a fourth consecutive week on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, received three nominations. Included in the list of her first career nods are Best New Artist, Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and Best Actress.

“ICU” was produced by Camper and can be found on both the standard and deluxe versions of Jones’ debut EP, What I Didn’t Tell You (Deluxe).

It reached No. 1 on urban radio and was awarded a gold certification by the RIAA for selling 500,000 equivalent units.

The Sugarhill Gang, MC Lyte, Big Daddy Kane, Fat Joe, E-40, GloRilla, Trick Daddy, Warren G, Remy Ma and many more will also perform as part of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.

BET Networks announced the nominations for this year’s BET Awards last week. Beyoncé, SZA, and Chris Brown received the most nominations, with four each.
