Rising singer Jastin Martin has unveiled a new song called “Miss Me Yet?”. It was written by Martin and composed and produced by Grammy and Emmy-winning songwriter and producer David “Swagg R’Celious” Harris.
Against a twinkling production, Martin sings about being romantically misled after a promising suitor didn’t keep up their end of the deal with doing right by her heart.
“I thought you was riding / You said we was locked in / Put my pride aside and told you I was tied in / Told you I was all in / You said you was different / Started off as close friends / Now, we can’t even be friends,” Martin lets out.
“Miss Me Yet?” is the latest offering from Martin’s debut album, Miss Me Yet, out Aug. 11 on Def Jam Recordings.
The album is expected to include her previously shared tracks “Why Not?” and “Right My Wrongs.” The latter track was issued as an acoustic version following the original rendition.
Martin also paired the former track with an official video, shot outdoors and near water.
Between this new song and her other tracks scattered across 2023, Martin recently joined forces with British-Nigeran Afro-pop artist and producer for “Replacement.” It’s unclear if this track will make it on the official tracklist for Miss Me Yet.
