It’s one thing to fall in love, and it’s another to stay in love. Alt-R&B singer Alina Baraz emphasizes the latter in her new single “Keep Me In Love,” out now.
On the self-released track, produced by Dante Jones of THEY. and Sol Was, Baraz yearns to find a partner who can love her wholeheartedly. Baraz recognizes the magnitude of her heart and the level of devotion that comes with it. While she is still on the hunt for someone who will match her energy, she knows they will arrive soon. It’s just a matter of time. And for that, she isn’t willing to settle for anything less.
“I need to believe / That there is someone / Someone keep me, keep me in love / I need it for me,” Baraz sings in her signature ethereal voice, as light as a leaf wafting in the autumn sky.

“Keep Me In Love” arrives a little ahead of cuffing season, giving listeners time to reflect on what they desire in a future relationship.
“We pour so much time, love, and energy into ourselves, effortlessly and indefinitely. The idea [for the song] came from wondering if someone could ever do that for you. It’s easy to fall in love but to keep me in love, I long for that,” explains Baraz.
“Keep Me In Love” is Baraz’s first official single since her 2021 EP, Moongate. In the same year, she released her Sunbeam EP. Both projects followed her 2020 solo debut album, It Was Divine.
Earlier this year, Baraz teamed with DJ and producer Austin Millz on “Breathless,” a party-ready groove from his Breathwork EP.
Baraz has not confirmed a new project at this time. However, according to press materials, more new music is on the horizon.
Baraz is scheduled to perform at H.E.R.’s Lights On Fest in Mountain View, California, next month. The two-day event, set for Sept. 16 and Sept. 17, will feature additional performances by H.E.R., Jazmine Sullivan, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Kiana Ledé and more.
